This smoothie is the perfect breakfast. Cherries, a part from being the most delicious sweet and fleshy fruit, have amazing heath benefits. This cherry smoothie is a real antioxidant, it contains vitamin A & C, it is rich in fibre and water which your body detox.
I really miss the cherry trees my family grow in my hometown, there is no flavour comparable to eating cherries directly from the tree. My dad still insists on sending a box of cherries to me in Ireland every year, but I think by the time I get them they will have gone bad unfortunately!
This recipe brings back many good memories of the time when my friends and me used to play around the cherry trees and eat as many as we could. Thanks to my dad, we enjoy the best cherries in the village.
Hope you enjoy this cherry smoothie as much as I do. Ever since I got my Vitamix blender I became a smoothie fan, to use a proper blender really makes a difference in the texture. These are other of my favourite smoothies to start the day: Celery & Apple Green Juice, Multivitamin Juice and the Blackberry Smoothie bowl.
