Homemade granola? Yes, you got it right. I thought the same the first time I saw it. Who could imagine that something as delicious and crunchy could be made at home in only 10 minutes. This 4-ingredients Homemade Granola tastes even better than your favourite brand. Almonds, rolled oats, pumpkin seeds, honey and cinnamon, that’s all you need to make this crunchy and sweet recipe.
I don’t know about you, but I was so fed up with buying overpriced granola bags and eat them in less than 3 days. I know, I have to cut it down a bit, it’ll be one of my New Year’s resolutions. We haven’t mention yet the high content of refined sugar, salt and additives that it has, please don’t trust the “healthy breakfast” slogan that you see in most of the packagings. Besides, the amount of nuts or dry fruits is very poor, nothing to do with the appealing photo of the packaging. In conclusion, you can have a healthier and more energetic breakfast making this Homemade Granola Recipe.
This recipe is not rocket science and it always works well, don’t worry too much about adding the exact amount of everything, your granola would still be delicious. If you love big and crunchy clusters in your granola don’t move it while it’s in the oven.
With the quantities listed below you will get two medium bottles of homemade granola. You can store it up to two weeks but, if you are a real granola lover like me, it won’t last even one week. I try different granola recipes almost every Sunday and it has become one of my favourite breakfasts. Try it with yogurt, milk or nut milk and finish it with some fruit on top. So fresh! So crunchy!
This granola would also make the perfect snack, very satisfying and nourishing. I always have a small jar ready at work for a healthy treat. Homemade granola is ten times healthier than proceed sweets or biscuits because it’s nnaturally sweetened.
Other idea that came to my mind was to use as a topping of my dessert, with just yogurt and raspberry sauce and it’s luscious!
