Kale is an excellent dark green leafy vegetable to use in your green smoothie recipes. It’s a great source of plant-based calcium, vitamin K, vitamin C and fibre. Kale has a slightly stronger flavour than baby spinach, but combined with pineapple & mint its flavour disappear. Meanwhile pineapple has diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties thanks to its high content of water, fibre and bromelain, a compound that helps to digest food.
