Looking for a new smoothie recipe? Me too, but I couldn’t decide whether to make a mango smoothie or raspberry smoothie so decided to make a Mango and Raspberry Smoothie. The combination of flavours is just fabulous.
Mango is one of my favourite tropical fruits. I was excited to combine it with raspberries to make this refreshing drink. The mango adds some sweetness to the smoothie while the raspberries are more citrusy which offsets the sweetness. I photographed these mango smoothies with straws, but I love to eat them with a spoon.
This smoothie is filled with fruits, fibre, vitamins and flavour. I blend the fruit until smooth. I don’t add any sugar to them and I keep all the pulp of the fruit in the smoothie, so we are eating all the fibre on it. Fibre makes this smoothie more satisfying.
The only things you’ll need for this mango and raspberry smoothie recipe are:
Mango Smoothie: mango, banana and orange juice
Raspberry Smoothie: raspberries, beetroot, kale, lemon juice
I’m sure you have seen a layered smoothie before, it is very easy to make, the only tricky part is pouring the two smoothies in the one glass. Are you ready to make yours?

- 1 + 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 orange (juiced)
- 1/4 cup cup of water
- 1+1/2 cups frozen raspberries
- 1 medium frozen beetroot
- 1 cup of kale
- 1/2 lime (juiced)
- 1/4 cup of water
Pour all the ingredients for the mango smoothie in to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
Wash the blender and blend the raspberry smoothie ingredients until smooth.
Pour the mango smoothie first in to a glass and then pour the raspberry smoothie on top. Garnish your drink with some homemade granola and dried coconut. Serve right away and enjoy with a straw or a spoon.
