Want to try green smoothies but not sure if you will like them? You don’t have to start with 100% green smoothie, go for something fruitier like this Strawberry Green Smoothie with Spinach. This smoothie is absolutely delicious, you won’t even notice there is spinach in it.
The great thing about smoothies is that you can adjust the ingredients to suit your tastes. A good green smoothie has to be rich in vitamins and minerals but also needs to be delicious, if not what is the point of making them?
Use frozen fruit whenever you can because it gives the smoothie a beautiful texture, if you are using fresh fruits you can use ice cubes to get the same texture. Then drink the smoothie immediately to absorb all the nutrients.
This smoothie is a great source of vitamin C, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, etc. Bananas give the smoothie a creamy texture but they also make this smoothie super satisfying.
I hope this strawberry green smoothie is just the beginning of many more green drinks for you. You can add other veggies to smoothies, try this Mango & Avocado Smoothie or my new addiction: Beetroot juice with lemon & ginger.

Have you ever tried a green smoothie? This strawberry green smoothie is the perfect way to introduce green smoothies to your diet.
- 2 cups spinach (or kale)
- 1 + 1/2 cups strawberries
- 2 ripe, peeled, frozen banana
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbsp hemp seeds
- 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup (add more to taste)
Add the spinach to the blender and blend for a few seconds. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend until creamy. For a thinner smoothie, add more water.
Serve immediately. If there is any smoothie left over you can store it in the fridge up to 24 hours but it tastes better fresh.
