Celery stalks add a unique crunchiness to this Detox Celery Salad. It is refreshing, delicious and best of all it’s healthy! Can we ask for anymore from a salad?

  • 3 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 2 cups of green leaves, such as spinach, rocket, romaine, read leaf..
  • 2 carrots, peeled and grated
  • 2 Tbsp of diced red onion
  • 1 Tbsp sunflower seeds or sesame seed for garnishing
Lemon Dressing
  • 1 tsp of finely sliced spring onion
  • 1/4 cup of extra virgin oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp of lemon (juiced)
  • 1/2 tsp of mustard
  • 1/2 tsp of honey
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. In a large serving bowl, combine the dressing ingredients. Whisk with a fork until blended. Taste, and add more salt and pepper if required. 

  2. Next add the celery, the green leaves and the onion to the bowl and toss to combine.

  3. Garnish with sunflower seeds or sesame seeds and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

*The darker the green in the celery the stronger its flavour is.
