Do you think you could survive without chocolate? The world wouldn’t be the same without chocolate for me there is no other flavour as intense, pleasant and unique as this Chocolate Mousse. The creaminess of this mousse is out of this world and the most surprising thing this is all thanks to the avocados. Can you believe a dessert contains avocados?! but don’t worry, you won’t be able to tell that there is avocado in this recipe. Now you have no excuses not to swap your regular chocolate mousse for this homemade healthy mousse.
This chocolate mousse is made with pure cocoa powder, a rich source of antioxidants and minerals which are good for your body. As you may know, the darker the chocolate the healthier it is. Dark chocolate has to have at least 70% of cocoa, bear in mind that the higher concentrations of cocoa can taste a bit bitter, I love the bitterness but it can be a bit too intense for others.
For my Christmas desserts, I usually select the recipes that I enjoyed the most during the year to share with my family at Christmas; this year this Chocolate mousse with avocado is going to be my dessert on Christmas Eve. I have made this recipe so many times because it is simple, quick, keeps for a few days in the fridge and everybody loves it. To give it a special Christmas touch I’m going to garnish it with fresh currants. Its dark red colour makes it beautiful and delicate. Also, the acidic flavour of the fruit goes really well with the sweetness of the chocolate mousse. I guess you don’t have much time, right? Don’t worry it takes only 10′ then keep it in the fridge and that’s it. ENJOY!
